2 Material Accounting Policies2.1 Statement of Compliance
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Indian Accounting Standards (âInd AS'') notified under the Companies
(Indian Accounting Standards) Rules, 2015, as amended from time to time, and in compliance with the presentation requirements of Division
II of Schedule III to the Companies Act, 2013
2.2 Basis of Preparation & Presentation
The Company has prepared its financial statements on an accrual basis of accounting and on the assumption that it will continue as a going
concern. The accounting policies adopted in the preparation of these financial statements are consistent with those followed in the previous
year, except for changes resulting from the adoption of new or amended accounting standards, the impact of which has been appropriately
considered and disclosed.
The financial statements are presented in Indian Rupees (INR), which is also the Company''s functional currency. All amounts are rounded
to two decimal places to the nearest lakh, unless otherwise stated.
The Financial Statements are prepared in accordance with the historical cost convention, except for certain items that are measured at
amortised cost or fair value as explained in accounting policies.
Fair Value is the price that would be received to sell an asset or paid to transfer a liability in an orderly transaction between market
participants at the measurement date, regardless of whether that price is directly observable or estimated using another valuation
technique. In estimating the fair value of an asset or a liability, the Company takes into account the characteristics of the asset or liability
if market participants would take those characteristics into account when pricing the asset or liability at the measurement date. Fair value
for measurement and /or disclosure purposed in these financial statements is determined on such a basis, except for share based-based
payment transactions that are within the scope of Ind AS 102- Share Based payment, leasing transactions that are within scope of Ind AS
116- Lease, and measurements that have some similarities to fair value in Ind AS 2- Inventories or value in use in Ind AS 36- impairment of
assets.
The Preparation of financial statements in conformity with Ind AS requires management to make judgements, estimates, and assumptions
that affect the application of the accounting policies and the reported amounts of asset and liabilities, the disclosure of contingent assets
and liabilities at the date of the financial statements, and the reported amounts of revenues and expenses during the year. Actual results
could differ from those estimates. The estimates and underlying assumptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions to accounting
estimates are recognised in the period in which the estimate is revised if the revision affects only that period; they are recognised in the
period of the revision and future periods if the revision affects both current and future period.
The Company has classified all assets and liabilities have been classified as current and non-current categories as per Company''s normal
operating cycle and other criteria set out in Schedule III to the Companies Act, 2013 and Ind AS 1 Presentation of Financial Statements,
considering the nature of the Company''s business. The Company has identified its operating cycle as twelve months.
2.4 Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP)
Capital work-in-progress comprises the cost of assets under construction or development. It includes all directly attributable costs such as
project-related expenditure, borrowing costs, and other incidental expenses incurred up to the date the asset is ready for its intended use.
Such costs are accumulated under capital work-in-progress and are subsequently reclassified to the appropriate category of property, plant
and equipment or other relevant asset class when the asset is ready for its intended use.
Capital work-in-progress is carried at cost and is not depreciated until the asset is available for use. Borrowing costs directly attributable to
the acquisition or construction of qualifying assets are capitalised in accordance with Ind AS 23 - Borrowing Costs.
The Company assesses at each reporting date whether there is any indication that a non-financial asset may be impaired. The Company
applies this policy to property, plant and equipment, right-of-use assets, intangible assets, capital work-in-progress, and investments in
subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates.
If any such indication exists, the Company estimates the recoverable amount of the asset or the cash-generating unit (CGU) to which the
asset belongs. The recoverable amount is the higher of its fair value less costs of disposal and its value in use.
An impairment loss is recognised in the Statement of Profit and Loss if the carrying amount of an asset or CGU exceeds its recoverable
amount. In determining value in use, estimated future cash flows are discounted to their present value using an appropriate pre-tax discount
rate that reflects current market assessments of the time value of money and the risks specific to the asset.
Impairment losses recognised in prior periods are reviewed at each reporting date and reversed where there has been a change in the
estimates used to determine the recoverable amount, to the extent that the carrying amount does not exceed the carrying amount that would
have been determined had no impairment loss been recognised previously.
2.6 Non-current Assets Held for Sale
Non-current assets (or disposal groups) are classified as held for sale when their carrying amount is expected to be recovered principally
through a sale transaction rather than through continuing use.
Classification is made only when all of the following conditions are met:
(i) The asset is available for immediate sale in its present condition;
(ii) Management is committed to a plan to sell;
(iii) An active programme to locate a buyer has been initiated;
(iv) The asset is actively marketed at a price reasonable to its fair value;
(v) The sale is highly probable and expected to be completed within twelve months; and
(vi) It is unlikely that significant changes will be made to the plan or that it will be withdrawn.
Assets classified as held for sale are measured at the lower of their carrying amount and fair value less costs to sell, with any resulting loss
recognised in the Statement of Profit and Loss. Any subsequent gain is recognised only to the extent of previously recognised losses.
2.7 Foreign Currency Transactions and Derivatives
The functional and presentation currency of the Company is Indian Rupee. Foreign currency transactions are recorded on initial recognition
at the exchange rate prevailing on the date of the transaction.
At each reporting date:
(i) Monetary assets and liabilities denominated in foreign currencies are translated at the closing exchange rates.
(ii) Non-monetary items carried at historical cost are translated using the exchange rate on the date of the transaction.
(iii) Non-monetary items measured at fair value are translated using the exchange rate when the fair value is determined.
Exchange differences arising on settlement or translation of monetary items are recognised in the Statement of Profit and Loss, except to
the extent they relate to qualifying assets, in which case they are capitalised as part of borrowing costs in accordance with Ind AS 23.
Derivatives are initially recognised at fair value and are subsequently remeasured to their fair value at the end of each reporting period. The
resulting gains/losses are recognised in Statement of Profit and loss immediately.
2.8 Investments in Subsidiaries, Associates and Joint ventures
Investments in subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures in the standalone financial statements are carried at cost, less accumulated
impairment losses, if any.
On disposal of an investment, the difference between the net disposal proceeds and the carrying amount of the investment is recognised in
the Statement of Profit and Loss.
Borrowing costs that are attributable to the acquisition or construction of qualifying assets are considered as a part of cost of such assets
less interest earned on the temporary investment. A qualifying asset is one that necessarily takes substantial period of time to get ready for
the intended use. All other borrowing costs are charged to Statement of Profit and Loss in the year in which they are incurred.
